Here are some recent pictures of the front flower bed.

It's getting close to planting and filling up the gardens. Here's a recent shot of the plants before they made it out to the small little green house.



Here is the little outdoor plant house half full. It's not too big but with some additional boards and milk crates, it gets the job done.




The weather has been causing some problems this year. It seem to be either 40 degrees or 70+ degrees and some plants have not been holding up to well.

 

We had a lot of rain the last few days and it looks like it has done wonders for the front flower bed.

 

The water also helped the grass seed  patch up the dirt spot in the front yard.

 Here is a quick shot of the plants in the fifth week of growing. Any plant that climbs is really doing well. The mellon plants have starting growing alot in the past week.

 

Things outside are finally starting to turn green and come back to life. The chives in the herb garden are back from the winter.



The daffodils and tulips are also popping back up in the front yard flower garden.

We've been growing flowers and vegetables from seed for
the past three years. Each year seems to be better. We try to keep
costs down and don't use things like grow lights or fancy seed starting
kits. We normally go with Burpee seeds. Here is what is mostly being
grown. I've picked up a few other packets of peppers and cucumbers
that Burpee.com didn't have in stock.
